Helping Our Communities
We believe in giving back to our local communities, places where so many ILG staff live or grew up. As well as charity fundraising, we provide employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people and those with learning challenges.
Raising Funds for Together for Short Lives
In 2025, we are supporting Together for Short Lives as our Charity of the Year – the leading charity for children’s palliative care. This charity ensures every seriously ill child and their family gets the high-quality children’s palliative and end-of-life care, when and where they need it.
Supporting Aldingbourne Trust WorkAid
We work closely with Aldingbourne Trust, a Sussex charity focused on improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and/or autism. By participating in the Aldingbourne Trust WorkAid initiative, we provide paid employment to individuals challenged by lifelong learning disability, helping to grow their skills and confidence in a fast-moving, inclusive work environment.
Kickstarting Careers for Young People
In 2021 we offered 27 local unemployed young people job placements across our warehouse facilities as part of the DWP’s Kickstart Scheme. ILG gave each Kickstarter six months of guaranteed paid work, tailored training and help with CV writing, job searching tips and interview techniques. So far, 10 participants have gone on to secure permanent or fixed-term contracts at ILG.
Our ESG Policy
ILG’s ESG policy delineates our commitment to environmental, social and governance principles. Our purpose is to integrate sustainable practices, ensure ethical conduct and foster social responsibility.
