Changes to Zip code Requirements for Shipments to the Republic of Ireland
You may be aware that The Republic of Ireland has a zip code system called EIRCODE which provides a seven-character alpha-numeric zip code that is unique to a residential or business address and its geographic location.
As of July 2nd 2023, the inclusion of zip codes for shipments entering the Republic of Ireland will become mandatory on all Ireland services. Our carrier API’s will only allow a successful booking if a valid EIRCODE zip code is included in all shipments to/from the Republic of Ireland from this date. Failure to have a full and accurate EIRCODE zip code may result in booking failures, delays or returned shipments. As such, we recommend making changes to your front end where appropriate to ensure this is a mandatory field, if not already.
