I joined ILG in September 2020.
Why did you join ILG?
I joined ILG as my brother works in one of ILG’s warehouses and referred the job to me as it fitted very well for my lifestyle.
Talk us through you career journey at ILG
In September 2020, I joined ILG as a goods-in warehouse assistant at EGA. In March 2022 I joined delivery customer service as a support assistant. I was promoted to delivery account executive in January 2023.
What does your job involve?
“My job involves dealing with our clients on a daily basis, helping their shipments get to their customers successfully and also assisting with any other queries they may have. It also involves building up a good relationship between us and our customers and ensuring we do our very best to support them.”
What training and development opportunities have you had at ILG?
I have had first aid training, I am going on an Excel course later on this year and I have also been on a mortgage advice class which will help me in the future.
What do you like about working at ILG?
I like how supportive ILG are as a company, they are always here if you need help or someone to talk to. I also like how many different opportunities and career paths ILG offers, there are always different courses offered which helps our development in the future.
What advice would you give to anyone considering applying to ILG?
The advice I would offer anyone considering applying is to just go for it! There are so many opportunities in the business, you cannot go wrong. It’s a great company to kick-start your future journey as you get to experience what it is like to work closely with big companies. You also get a feel for how important your role is in the business as everything loops together e.g. from booking in stock to sending out to the end-customer and ensuring it is delivered to meet expectations!
